How weird was it to go to bed that night knowing you had conquered the landscape earlier that day?

Ah, no. The mountain visible from my bedroom window is Pichincha and is a paltry 14,000 feet tall. I didn´t actually take the picture you see in the post, the mountain itself is south-east of Quito.
